The Technical Program Committee (TPC) of the International Conference of Sustainable Energy (ICUE) 2026: Achieving Energy Security and Climate Goals through Sustainable and Smart Solutions is inviting applications for:

Special Sessions/Organizers

The Special Sessions are intended to highlight emerging research areas, cutting-edge developments, and specialized topics that may not be fully covered in the main technical tracks of the conference.
Interested special session organizers must carefully read the guidelines below and submit their application and proposal along with the brief CV via email: icue2026@ait.ac.th.

Please review the guidelines below before submitting a proposal:

A. Guidelines for Special Session Organizers:

  1. The title and theme of the session must fall within the scope of the ICUE 2026.
  2. The main organizer and co-organizer should have expertise in the relevant field. Please note that only one (1) co-organizer will be allowed.
  3. The main organizers and co-organizers are responsible for issuing the call for papers, screening the papers, and ensuring that the papers in the special session are:
  1. A special session will be allotted with 150 minutes (maximum).
  2. Each special session should include at least ten (10) fully paid/registered papers (excluding organizers’ lead papers). Note: The special session will be cancelled if the number of fully paid/registered papers is not met. The fully paid/registered papers will be transferred to a regular session.
  3. Recommended papers by the organizers will be formally accepted only after approval by the ICUE 2026 Technical Program Committee (TPC).
  4. The ICUE 2026 TPC will take care of the review process and decision (acceptance/rejection) on the manuscripts.
  5. Organizers may submit one (1) lead paper in their session.
  6. To maintain international standards, each session must include at least one (1) paper from overseas contributors.
  7. At least one organizer is required to be physically present at the conference venue to conduct the session

B. Benefits for Special Session Organizer:

  1. For a special session with ten (10) fully paid/registered papers, ICUE 2026 will offer 50% registration fee waiver for the main organizer only, inclusive of one (1) lead paper in the session.
  2. For a special session with fifteen (15) fully paid/registered papers, ICUE 2026 will offer 75% registration fee waiver for the main organizer, inclusive of one (1) lead paper in the session; and 50% registration fee waiver for the co-organizer, inclusive of one (1) paper in the session.
  3. One (1) accommodation room (twin-bed sharing) at the AIT Conference Center hotel will be provided during the conference dates only. Checking-in on 27 October 2026, Tuesday and checking out 30 October 2026, Friday.
  4. Airfare, local transportation, and allowance will not be provided.

C. Proposal Application Submission Format (please refer to the DOWNLOADABLE form):

  1. Name, affiliation, contact email address of the main organizer (1) and the co-organizer (1) – if any.
  2. Proposed title of the Special Session.
  3. A brief abstract(200–300 words) outlining the theme of the special session.
  4. A technical outline (150-180 words) of the proposed special session.
  5. Keywordsrelevant to the special session (limit to 5 words / short phrases).
  6. Attachment: Brief CV of the main organizer and the co-organizer (if any).

D. Relevant Dates (Special Session):

Special session organizer and application deadline: 10 February 2026, Tuesday, on or before 23:59 Thailand time zone (GMT+7).
Submission decision by TPC:17 February 2026, Tuesday.
Special session paper submission deadline: 31 March 2026, Tuesday via ICUE 2026 Microsoft CMT.
Acceptance notification: 15 May 2026 – 30 June 2026.
Paper registration deadline:31 July 2026, Friday.
